How much does it pay?
Labelbox Prism says about $50K to $1M+
Labelbox Prism says smaller targeted datasets start around $50K, large enterprise partnerships reach $1M+, and specialized data can exceed that. You get an upfront fee at signing plus a revenue share on downstream use, at a rate it does not publish.1
Prism's homepage claims "$100M+ distributed", "1k+ companies licensing" and under 21 days from first call to first wire. Labelbox's Series E post repeats none of these and counts 400+ customers, so treat them as its own unverified claims.8,4
Can we license elsewhere?
Labelbox Prism licenses are exclusive by default
Labelbox Prism says "Licenses are structured as exclusive by default", with single-buyer access, category limits or time windows as alternatives. Prism also says you keep full ownership and continued use. In our view, an exclusive license may stop you licensing the same data to anyone else, and Prism does not define the scope, so pin it down.2,9
Can we pull it back?
Labelbox Prism gives two revocation terms
Labelbox Prism's FAQ says a kill clause forces deletion within 30 days for material breach, regulatory change or a change-of-control trigger you define. Its how-it-works page says revocation with 90-day notice. Ask which period your license uses.6
Prism's FAQ also says models already trained on the data cannot be unlearned. In our view, that means revocation reaches future use, not past training.7
What happens to the files?
How Labelbox Prism handles your records
Labelbox Prism lets you export with existing tools or read-only connectors, then handles ingestion, normalization and stripping out names and personal details. Data leaves your environment after those details are removed and moves into Prism infrastructure, with customer-managed keys and regional residency. HR data, reviews, compensation and individual identifiers are excluded by default, and names, emails and IDs are tokenized before egress.10,11,12
You approve the data brief before any buyer sees it, and buyer identities are disclosed before signing. Prism says it works alongside your legal counsel, and it does not offer independent counsel.13,14
What it buys
What Labelbox Prism wants, and how fast it moves
Labelbox Prism's urgent categories are financial reasoning traces, scientific reasoning traces and cross-system interaction data. High-demand data includes support logs of 6+ months, medical records, robotics telemetry, code traces, and consented likeness and voice. No headcount, years or region floor is stated, and it calls distressed and wound-down companies among its most active sellers.15,16
Scoping is free and non-binding, followed by 1-3 days for process and 5-10 days for the license. Prism promises a written quote in 48 hours on its homepage and a preliminary valuation in one business day on its FAQ.17,18

Labelbox's Trustpilot page shows 2.6 out of 5 from 4 reviews. The reviews we sampled on 2026-10-30 came from contract workers and tool users, not businesses that licensed data.5,20
