micro1 vs Ventra: which fits your company's data?
micro1 and Ventra both ask for 30+ full-time staff, so the first split is your industry: Ventra says it can't take legal, healthcare, financial services or accounting companies right now, while micro1 says data from every industry can contribute and lists legal and finance examples. micro1 licenses the data itself on public terms, with tiers starting at $100K-500K. Ventra is a broker that says it takes your data to several buyers, and it names $100K-$2M as potential deals, not a guarantee.1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9

If you run a law, accounting, health or finance company, Ventra is out for now
Ventra's partner page says it can't take legal, healthcare, financial services or accounting companies right now, so those owners can skip it today. micro1's page says data from every industry can contribute, its referral page says "All industries", and its older partnership post names healthcare administration as well as legal and financial services. Open does not mean accepted, and micro1's estimator asks whether your data is regulated or sensitive.3,4,26,27
For construction, trades, manufacturing, distribution, logistics, agencies and software firms, both are open, and Ventra's list of what labs are buying from names them. Ventra counts only staff whose daily work leaves a data trail and wants 3+ years of it stored electronically, so a business with big field crews should check that before assuming it clears 30. micro1 states no fixed year count, and says several years across several systems is generally a stronger fit.28,29,1
The deal
micro1 shows you its contract, and with Ventra the buyer's contract is the one that counts
micro1's master terms are public, so you can read the deal first: a nonexclusive, irrevocable, perpetual license that can be passed on to its customers, with your data deleted within 120 days of final delivery, though models already trained on it stay. It says your data goes only to labs and enterprises in the US and allied countries. Its price text does not line up, though, with tiers starting at $100K, a headline of $200K to $2M+, and a line saying payments typically run from $150K to over $2M, so ask which applies to you.5,19,6,12
Ventra's offer is a wider net. It says it brings your data to multiple labs and lab partners and shows you the best offer, not the first one, and that you agree terms directly with the buyer or data partner, though it told us Ventra Holdings LLC was formed to sign these agreements, so ask who signs. Its own terms say delivered data may not be deletable and that it isn't responsible for what a third party does with the data, so the buyer's contract is the document to read.8,25,30
Getting paid
micro1 counts from acceptance, and Ventra counts from signing
Ventra gives the only offer time, typically 3-7 days. The payment clocks start in different places: Ventra says usually net 30 or net 60 after the agreement is signed, while micro1 says in full within 30 days of acceptance. Its FAQ spells that out as 30 days to review the data, then 30 days from your invoice, and its master terms give it 30 business days to reject the data, so ask for the expected date in your order form.13,15,14,31
We work with both micro1 and Ventra. If you clear 30 staff in an industry both take, the quiz can match you with either, and you can put the two numbers side by side.
FAQ
Questions, answered with sources
micro1 lists a closed-company program for companies no longer operating, with 30+ employees, and its ads have named 25+ at the peak. Ventra's partner page lists owners winding down as a strong fit, but it does not say whether a company that has already closed counts, so ask before you assume it can.33,34,35
