Jobber is built for the lawn care, cleaning, landscaping, pest control and smaller HVAC or plumbing company: a few crews, an office manager, and a lot of repeat customers. Its written record is short but constant. A client hub request describes a problem, a quote answers it, the visit gets internal notes from the crew, two-way texts confirm arrival times and follow-ups, and the invoice closes the loop. A company that has run on Jobber for five years has thousands of these small, complete stories.
Buyers look for repeated workflows with outcomes, and Nyne names dispatch and scheduling data. Most buyers want 20 to 30 or more employees and a few state no minimum, so for many Jobber companies size is the first question.
Jobber's own tools are lighter than enterprise platforms on export, and its terms are brief on ownership and termination. This page covers what Jobber holds in writing, what its exports reach and what they leave behind, the lines in Jobber's terms quoted with their date, and what to ask a buyer before data moves.

Who wants this
Do buyers want Jobber service companies?
No buyer publishes prices by industry, but their own intake forms show which industries they rate higher.
- Troveo puts construction and trades in its second of four demand tiers: "Your industry carries above-average buyer demand."25
- Polyshares takes hvac, plumbing and electrical, without marking it premium.26
- VMS, a broker, gives construction standard weight when it estimates value.27

What buyers value
What in a company's records buyers value
What buyers look for in your records, and what to talk through with your buyer before anything leaves your systems.
| Data | Where it lives | Why a buyer values it | Raise with the buyer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Client requests from the client hub | Jobber client hub requests | Customers describing a problem in their own words before anyone has looked at it. | Names, addresses and phone numbers on each request. |
| Quotes and what was approved | Jobber quotes | How a small company prices a job and which quotes customers accept. | Pricing the company treats as its edge. |
| Internal notes on jobs and visits | Jobber notes and attachments | Crew observations kept internal by default, the field knowledge of the business. | No export path for notes was described in Jobber's help center. |
| Two-way text conversations | Jobber two-way texting | Short, real customer service: arrival windows, gate codes, complaints and thanks. | Gate codes and access details must come out before anything else. |
| Visit and job history | Jobber Visits report (CSV by email) | Recurring routes and visit outcomes over years, the backbone of a scheduling model. | Nothing specific |
| Invoices and follow-ups | Jobber invoices | How the job ended, and how the company chased payment when it did not. | Payment details on each invoice. |
A week of records
A week of data at a company
- A homeowner submits a client hub request for a drainage problem with three photos.
- The owner sends a quote with two options; the cheaper one is approved by text that evening.
- The crew lead adds a visit note that the downspout was crushed and the fix took an extra hour.
- Texts confirm the next recurring visit, and a customer asks to skip a week.
- The invoice goes out, a reminder follows, and the Visits report for the month shows the route as completed.

Selling or closing
Selling or closing your company? License its data first
For a small company, the export is the archive. Jobber's terms say the customer is responsible for keeping backups at all times and set no export window after termination that we found. Before a sale or closure, export clients and reports and ask the licensing company what it needs that Jobber's exports do not cover.1,2
FAQ
Jobber data: questions, answered
Admins export clients as CSV or vCard, up to 1,500 rows at a time, and Jobber emails the file. Reports such as Visits export to CSV by email. Client export is available on select plans, and we found no Jobber article on exporting notes or text message history.2
We found no clause in Jobber's Terms of Service, updated 2026-09-22, stating who owns User Content. The terms grant Jobber a perpetual, irrevocable license to it, including to provide aggregated and de-identified benchmarks to the customer and other users. We quote; we do not interpret.44
Jobber's terms say users shall not use data mining, robots, scraping or similar extraction methods. On connected AI tools they say that once data leaves the service, Jobber does not control how the provider handles it. Ask the buyer which method it uses.1
In internal notes and attachments on clients, requests, quotes, jobs and invoices, in two-way text conversations, and in client hub requests. Notes are internal by default, which makes them the most candid part of the record.45
The Information headlined startups paying HVAC companies $150,000 for data, though it named no software. Published ranges mostly run $100K to $2M, as the buyers' own claims: micro1 states $100K-$2M+ per data package, Cognor Labs and Ventra $100K-$2M, and monsterdata.ai $50K-$1M for a one-time sale. Recurring visits with notes and outcomes are what a buyer would look at first.50,6,51,52,53
