On the record
What the paper trail shows about Ventra
Ventra's terms name Ventra Holdings LLC at a Dallas address, and joinventra.com was registered on September 26, 2026. Ventra told us it set up the LLC to sign licensing agreements and carry insurance, and that Talent Stream Group LLC remains the main company. Mike Black's LinkedIn profile has him as Ventra's CEO from June 2025, and a brand can come before its LLC, so ask when Ventra began licensing company data.1,9,4,2
Talent Stream Holdings Inc., a Delaware company in Austin, filed a Form D on March 27, 2026, signed by Michael Scott Black as President, reporting $155,000 sold of a $1,500,000 offering. Ventra's partner page also says Austin and the officer's name fits, but the filing never mentions Ventra, and we have not confirmed it is the same group.10,7
Why owners ask
The deals on Ventra's page are not shown as its own
Ventra's partner page quotes Google on buying part of a Spirit Airlines dataset and says those it quotes "are not affiliated with Ventra and do not endorse it", so read that as market news. In a later answer about its fees it says "one lab did 50 deals in a single week, ranging from $100,000 to $2 million", without naming the lab. Ventra's two main pages also name no team and no longer mention Talent Stream, which leaves LinkedIn as the place to find who is behind it.5,7,8
Five minutes
Five checks on Ventra you can run yourself
Search Ventra Holdings LLC in the Texas Comptroller's free business search and compare the status and Dallas address with Ventra's terms. We took the name and address from the terms, which give no formation date, so this is the independent step.1
Match whoever contacted you to a name on LinkedIn. Mike Black, Marc Nathan, Josh Vago and Eli Cho all list Ventra there, and the company page is linkedin.com/company/joinventra. Ventra pays people who refer companies, so the person contacting you may not work for it, and you can ask whether they earn a referral fee.2,8,11
Search EDGAR, the SEC's free filing database, for Talent Stream Holdings and read the Form D yourself, then ask Ventra if that company is part of its group.10
Open the Meta Ad Library and look up the Ventra page, so you can confirm the ad you saw came from it and links to go.joinventra.com.12
Look for outside reviews. Trustpilot has no page for joinventra.com, so you will not find owners' accounts there, and the terms are the best written record you can read: pay attention to the parts on buyers, deletion and arbitration.13,14
What to ask
Three things to get from Ventra in writing
Ask for its broker fee as a percentage, because Ventra described a broker fee on our call while its terms say no fee now and that buyers may pay it. Ask which lab or lab partner would hold your data, since its terms disclaim responsibility for what third parties do with it. And ask for one owner who has been paid through Ventra and will talk to you. Ventra told us its Chrome extension maps your tools, and its terms describe one that reads page content in open tabs, so ask what it collects before installing anything.15,16,14,17,18
If the answers hold up, the next question is fit: Ventra wants 30 or more staff and three or more years of records, outside legal, healthcare, financial services and accounting. Our match checks that against Ventra and the other buyers we work with, so you may have a second offer to set its answers against.19,20
